What if I cannot get 50 Guests to Book B&B?
This is a fantastic offer - especially if most of your guests are outside our area. Can you invite 50 guests who will stay overnight and party into the night?
If you cannot manage 50 staying, this offer is not for you - go instead to our Last Minute Wedding Package where you only need 20 guests to stay overnight.
You get a more complete wedding package, & still get the venue for free, but with just 20 guests staying.
Make it a Two Day Wedding
30% off B&B the night before
This offer is ideal for Couples who have most of their guests living quite far from the Castle.
We are a 'destination wedding venue' in the Brecon Beacons National Park. This means many of your guests will also want to stay the night before to avoid a long journey on the wedding day. We offer 30% off B&B on the night before a wedding. If your guests stay two nights, the rate drops to £105 B&B for two in an en suite, the night before your wedding.
So you can extend your wedding into a two day early weekend event, Thursday & Friday, by inviting your nearest and dearest to join you the night before your wedding. Have a pre-wedding get-together and catch up.
Decorate the Reception room the night before!
Why not set up your wedding decor and tables the day before? Decorate your reception room a day early (subject to availability) then relax & unwind the evening before the Big Day itself.
You get two main rooms for your wedding - the Conservatory with its views and terrace overlooking the Country Park and Brecon Beacons as your day room - and the evening function room next to the bar as your evening party room.

Are there any hidden extras?
Craig y Nos Castle offers exclusive use of all function rooms for your wedding.
The minimum number of guests is 50 all day and staying overnight (Breakfast included the next day as you're arranging Dinner B&B for the 50 guests).
Aside from the wedding meal, welcome drinks and the venue, table linen and cutlery, plates etc, nothing else is included.
So if you want extras, or extra guests, you book these on our standard tariff here.
What Extras might I need?
White chair covers and coloured bows - hire from us.
Centrepieces, Candelabra, floral decor - hire from us or suppliers.
Decor and personal touches are down to you.
Inviting more guests above first 50
This offer is for 50 guests at a ridiculously low rate - £2,500.
Wedding Banquets above first 50 are charged at standard wedding rates - e.g. £63 per wedding breakfast (2024).
Welcome Drinks above first 50 charged at £7.70 per extra guest.
So you can add extra guests to this offer at £70.70 each extra day guest, for Wedding Banquet & Welcome Drinks.
Buffet & Drinks Package Option
Either your guests buy their own drinks at the bar. Or you select a drinks package to add toasting wines and wine on tables during the Banquet.

SCHEDULE OF THE DAY
Your Wedding Ceremony
13:00 – 13:30
You will be married in the Grade One Listed Opera House. Allow 30-40 minutes for seating guests, the wedding Ceremony itself, and everyone exiting the theatre. Confetti may be thrown within the theatre.
Our theatre wedding room is fully licensed for all weddings and civil ceremonies. Styled on Wagner’s Opera House in Bayreuth, Bavaria with decor fit for elite gatherings, the theatre is licensed for 150 guests.
The Theatre is one of only 8 Grade One listed Opera Houses in the UK, one of only two in private ownership.
No other wedding venue in Wales has its own opera house where you can dazzle your audience from your very own stage!
Your Welcome Drinks
13:30 – 14:00
Served either inside in the Nicolini Lounge, or outside in courtyard or gardens
Nicolini Lounge features a wood burning stove, sumptuous leather chairs and traditionally elegant decor evocative of the room's history as a reception room for visits by nobleman and Royalty.
Welcome drinks may be arranged to spell L O V E, or the Bride and Groom's initials.
Your Wedding Photographs in the Courtyard and Grounds
14:00 – 16:00
Photos can be taken in the Gardens & Country Park as well as the Courtyard.
The Country Park Woodland and Boating Lake are popular for photos in all seasons, while the lower gardens allow for photos with the castle in the background.
Allow two hours for the Wedding Photos.
Your Wedding Photographer will be familiar with the best locations. Our two most popular Photographers are Jenkins Photography and Photography First.
Your Wedding Breakfast in the Conservatory
16:00 – 19:00
Around three hours should be allowed for the Wedding Breakfast including Speeches and Toasts.
Breath-taking views of the surrounding grounds and a substantial outdoor terrace - enjoy the most romantic day of your life with a delectable wedding banquet overlooking some of the most scenic views in South Wales.
Seating Capacity: 130 Comfortably seats 120 guests (on up to twelve round tables of 10 each, with the remainder on your Head Table).
Your Evening Party & Disco
20:00 – 24:00
Evening Parties in the main function room can go on later, without disturbing anyone.

Book your wedding day with a £2,000 security deposit to guarantee the following:
1. A minimum of 50 guests (first 50 at £50 each) - total £2,500 for 50 Wedding Banquets & Welcome Drinks.
2. You guarantee 50 guests will book their own B&B at £75/ guest (based on 2 sharing an en-suite double) - total £3,750 in B&B.
Your total guaranteed minimum spend between you and your guests is £6,250.
(1) The cost to you is £2,500 if you pay for 50 guests' Wedding Banquets & Welcome Drinks, and 50 guests pay for their own B&B.
(2) The cost to you is higher than £2,500, if you have fewer than 50 guests paying for their own B&B as you must pay for any misssing guests to make up the shortfall, or if you book any extras.
