The Special Wedding Package Offer (of £40.00 per guest) works on the basis of you having 50 guests or more staying overnight and paying for their own B&B at the Special Wedding Package Offer rate of £75.00 B&B per guest. This is based on two or more sharing an en-suite, for the first 50 guests staying. Above 50, the B&B rate drops to £30.00 per head (2012 & 2013) or £35.00 per head (2014). This lower rate applies where guests are added to a family room which already has two in it or where guests overflow above 50, into the Nurses Block.

The Special Wedding Package (SWOD) is most suitable for couples whose guests live some distance away and are likely to want to stay overnight.

However for local weddings, where a Wedding Couple on full / regular tariff might normally opt for a small number of guests at a wedding breakfast, and a higher number at the evening buffet, with few guests wanting to stay overnight, there is a further alternative to the Regular Tariff - the Members Club.

This alternative Wedding Package gives discounts similar to the Special Wedding Offer Deal (SWOD) but you need more Guests - ideally above 125. The rate under Members Tariff is actually lower for 2013 only, at £30 instead of £40 per head; this is due to an anomaly with printing of brochures.  In 2014 the £40 per head rate applies, same as SWOD.

The Members Club costs £30 per month to belong to, payable by standing order mandate. The monthly payments accumulate and can be used to purchase goods (i.e. food and drinks) and services (i.e. B&B and venue hire) at the Castle. Members also qualify for a reduced tariff as shown on the next page.

The Members Tariff works out advantageous if you have over 100 / 125 guests attending your wedding. It is not exclusive though, unless you are above 100 guests. Below 100 guests, such extensive savings are not available. There is a reduced venue hire tariff for over 75 guests - see Members Tariff brochure for details - and this will work if you are only hiring one function room. You need above 100 guests to eliminate the venue hire, aside from the Theatre which you are required to hire for your Ceremony. So above 100 guests you get the venue exclusive. Above 125 guests the theatre is free as well and so you gain the whole castle exclusive for free.  

There is no requirement to have 50 guests staying overnight; the qualifying requirement is merely to have 100 or more guests for similar savings, or above 75 guests to secure the initial level of discounts. See next page for the cost comparison between regular tariff and the Members Tariff.

Members Tariff would be applicable to large weddings from the Swansea area where all the guests are local and wish to travel back home after the wedding in preference to staying at the castle.
