Few Brides ever see how our Wedding Reception Room once looked. Until 2007, See our Conservatory as it was before restoration. It was a 100 year old derelict ruin. A year's worth of work saw the Conservatory restored to its former glory and we now hold up to 80 Wedding Breakfasts a year in this room - see our refurbished Conservatory. You can see some interesting pictures of how the room was both in the 18th Century and in the 19th Century when it was the Childrens Ward (the Castle was a Hospital for 60 years). At the bottom of the last link you can see some pictures of the Conservatory as a Victorian tea room. What is remarkable is the transformation that has taken place in this former derelict wing of the castle. It is now the favoured room for all our Wedding Breakfasts and our main Wedding reception room.
